MONO Ext.

MONO Ext. is a duo of Etienne Nillesen on extended snare drum and Cao Thanh Lan on extended piano, playing their co-compositions and compositions from Cao Thanh Lan.
They explore and push the limits of the natural instrumental capability, using conventional playing techniques as well as extended techniques, preparations but without electronics.
Their work involves elements of conceptual and spontaneous composition, structured improvisation, performance, and sound poetry.

Their debut album was released on Impakt label.
