The missing link

to make a nutshell, a dead leaf, human body, a living plant,… start sounding by simply touching them. The idea of „the missing link“ is to let any organic living creatures, any conductive materials be the completing part of the sounding circuit  – a self-built synthesizer. Only with the direct contact can the flow of energy be uninterrupted and the sound can be heard. How close the contact also influence how the sound will be. Furthermore, because each living creature or conductive objects are inherently different from each other, each resulting sound is naturally different from the other.

„The missing link“ can be an interactive installation, a sound intervention in a sound walk whether in an urban or natural environment.

An excerpt from the sound intervention during “HearHere” sound walk in Stockholm 8/2019, filmed by Casey Moir.
